WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE VOLATILE OIL AND THYMOQUINONE IN BLACK SEED OIL?
The volatile oil is also known as the essential oil, it is the concentrated hydrophobic liquid containing volatile compounds from plants, but in this case, the seeds of the Nigella Sativa flower.
But, Thymoquinone is one of the MANY volatile compounds found within the make up of the volatile oil.
Previous studies have identified many volatile compounds present in Nigella sativa seeds, including thymoquinone, Thymohydroquinone, dithymoquinone, p-cymene, α-thujene, γ-terpinene, carvacrol, α-pinene, β-pinene, 4-terpineol, and sesquiterpene longifolene, carvone, limonene, and citronellol. There are still many unknown volatile compounds, depending on the where the seeds were grown.
WHY ARE THERE DIFFERENT STRENGTHS OF BLACK SEED OIL?
The strengths of the black seed oil vary due to the region where it is cultivated which then gives it either a stronger or milder taste.
HOW WOULD I KNOW THE STRENGTH OF MY BLACK SEED OIL?
You can determine the strength by the taste. If it is more pungent, then it is likely to be higher in strength, A good sign will also be, tasting the spiciness at the back of your throat after swallowing.
But if the taste is easy on the palette, it is a milder black seed with less volatile oil.

The Nigella sativa seeds we use to cold-press our oil is grown organically by Certified organic farmers in India.
Once we get our oil, we send a sample of each batch to the Third Laboratory here in UK and check if its truly grown without chemicals and pesticides.
Once the results shows that it is free from pesticides and chemicals, it is then sold on the market. If we go ahead to get it certified by the organic bodies, it will make our black seed oil expensive and customers will bear the added cost. Other certified organic brands that are already expensive than ours are not the same strength or quality as our black seed oil.
